One of the keys to ensuring your child has a great camp experience is to come prepared. A little planning can get your child's day camp experience off to a smooth start and help ensure he or she has the experience to remember! Be sure your child gets a good night's sleep and starts their day with a healthy breakfast.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP EACH DAY

BACKPACK

Please place your child's lunch box, water bottle, dry clothes, and sunscreen in the backpack.  Please make sure everything is labeled with your child's first and last name. No wheeled backpacks.

SUNSCREEN

Help your child apply sunscreen before they arrive. Please mark the bottle with your child's first and last name. Your child, grades K - 6, may keep their sunscreen with them. Counselors will keep sunscreen in a safe place for our younger campers.

WATER BOTTLE

We will have water bottle filling stations around campus. Campers are encouraged to keep their water bottle filled and to drink water throughout the day. Some campers fill water bottles with ice at home to help keep water cool throughout the day.

SHOES

All campers must wear closed-toe sneakers or sandals with a heel strap. Some campers choose to bring crocs for splash pad activities. Campers are required to wear shoes during activities and while at camp.

BATHING SUIT & TOWEL

K-6 campers go out to our Splash Pad daily (water slides, slip & slides, water balloons, and more!). ELC Campers will visit the age-appropriate splash pad 3x a week for Galim and Sabras and 2x a week for Glidot and Twoteem (see group schedule). Depending on your child's water time, your child may need to wear his/her swimsuit (and swim diaper if needed) under their regular clothes. The Kindergarten-6th graders will visit the Carrollwood Country Club Swimming Pool once a week on Wednesdays.  All campers on their water day or swim day should include a dry towel and a plastic bag in your child's backpack to hold their wet swimsuits and towels.  For the Carrollwood Country Club pool, if your child is still learning to swim, please provide a swim vest that clips to ensure your child is safe in the water.

LUNCH

Lunch is important. Kids are active at Adventure Camp and they get hungry. Leave the perishable items at home; we do not offer refrigeration, but lunches will be stored indoors. Most parents include reusable ice packs in lunch boxes.  All lunches must be kosher-style which means pork, shellfish, or the mixing of meat and dairy is not allowed.  You can also purchase lunch daily from camp!

SNACKS

All full-day campers have two snack times, morning and afternoon. This is a great opportunity for fresh fruit, small granola bars, yogurt tubes, or other nutritious snacks!  Campers are required to bring their morning snack; afternoon snacks will be ice pops daily.  If you wish for your child to have a different afternoon snack, please pack it in their backpack.
